A lot of common questions are covered below. Skim these first — it might save you a round-trip.
Go to Online Store → Themes → Customize → App embeds and make sure "Lærke AI Assistant" is toggled on. Save the theme. If it still doesn't appear, also confirm your subscription is active in the Lærke admin under Billing.
Open the conversation under Conversations, click the assistant message that was wrong, and choose Correct this answer. Mark it as "Used for training" and the bot will learn from it for similar future questions.
Open Settings → Behaviour, pick one of the presets (Standard / Enthusiastic / Concise), or switch to Custom and write your own system prompt. Under Voice & tone you can also adjust response length, emoji use, formal vs. casual address, and a sign-off appended to longer replies.
That feature uses Shopify's Customer Accounts MCP. It requires a custom domain on your shop and you must enable "Customer authentication" in Settings. Without a custom domain the bot can still answer general questions from your catalog, collections and policies.
Uninstall Lærke from your Shopify admin (Apps → Lærke → Delete) and your subscription cancels at the end of the current Shopify billing period. Conversations are retained for 48 hours after uninstall to handle Shopify's privacy webhooks, then deleted.
Lærke answers from your live Shopify data - products, collections, prices, and shop policies. It doesn't invent details: out-of-stock items aren't recommended, and the prices and shipping rules it quotes are the ones you've actually set. When you add or change products, Lærke picks that up automatically.
Yes - every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. Lærke offers three tiered plans with different monthly message allowances; you can see current prices and choose a plan on the Billing page inside the app. Shopify development and partner stores can use Lærke for free.
Yes. Open the conversation under Conversations in the admin and edit the assistant's reply with your preferred answer. Mark it for training, and Lærke uses your correction as a guide whenever shoppers ask similar questions in future - no prompt engineering needed.
Yes. The Design tab in Settings lets you set the bubble colour, position, icon (or upload your own), fonts, sizes, corner style, and an optional teaser message. A live preview shows your changes before you save.
Yes. When a shopper asks about products, Lærke can show matching items as product cards beneath its reply. You control whether cards appear and how many, under Settings → General → Product recommendations.
The Analytics page in the admin shows the assistant's impact: revenue from orders that included a product Lærke recommended, the number of AI-assisted orders, items sold via recommendation, and how the average order value of AI-assisted orders compares with the rest.
Conversations are stored so you can review them and so returning shoppers resume their thread, then automatically deleted after 90 days. All data is hosted in the EU and encrypted in transit and at rest. Lærke doesn't track shoppers across sites, profile them, or sell data - full details are in the privacy policy.
